Laura Murvartian

Ms. Murvartian is a business professional with a focus on negotiations, business development, financial analysis, and operations. She is also an established leader in the community.

She is the Founding Member and Principal of LM Creative Talent, LLC. Prior positions include: Senior Director/Negotiator at Equifax, Wine Director of Sales and Purchasing at WineStyles, and Director of Telecommunications and Financial Analysis at Turner Broadcasting. 

Ms. Murvartian was recognized by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) as being one of the 50 most influential Latinos in Georgia in 2018 and is a graduate of the 2014 Leadership Atlanta class. She is the Founder and Chair of Fiesta de Libros and GHCC’s CREAR committee. Her involvement in the Latino community also includes being a board member of the Institute of Mexican Culture (IMC) and the GALEO Impact Fund, she is a member of the Latin American Association Finance Committee and of the Latinos in Georgia: Politics and Policy Archive Work Team. She is on the Advisory Board of the GHCC Hispanic Business Center and a recent member of the 2020 Fulton Country Core Services and Governance Task Force. Previously she was Board Chair of GALEO, President of the Atlanta Latina Business Women’s Association, and a member of the Girl Scouts Hispanic Engagement Committee.

Ms. Murvartian is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and holds a Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan with a focus on International Economics. She is a graduate of Hamline University where she graduated cum laude.

Ms. Murvartian’s personal story of being an undocumented migrant child who worked in the corn and chicken processing plants with her parents to becoming a successful business woman and community leader has been featured on NPR’s StoryCorps, Mundo Hispanico (front cover September 17, 2010) and La Vision. She was an Olympic Torch bearer in 2001.

On a personal note, Ms. Murvartian resides in Johns Creek, GA, has been married for 24 years to Michael Rhim who is a partner at Morris, Manning and Martin, LLP and has two children, Claudia (17) and Nicolas (19) a freshman at Northwestern University. Ms. Murvartian’s personal interests are traveling, running, biking, reading and writing song lyrics. She has released three songs, completed four marathons (most recently the 2019 Marine Corps marathon), has biked all 100 miles of the Silver Comet/ Chief Ladiga bike trail with her children, and has traveled all over the world. She is currently training for a 55k next year to celebrate her 55th birthday.
