Denise Santos

Denise Santos is a Miami born actress and producer, her background is from Ecuador and Colombia. As a child, Denise’s mother insisted that Spanish be spoken at home making it her first language. After moving to Atlanta in 2009, she immediately signed with an agent and hit the ground running. Being bilingual helped to create many opportunities on a variety of productions. The process of auditioning had Denise meeting the same actors and having the same conversations about Latinx representation in Atlanta. After organizing a Facebook group in 2017 as a platform to have these talks, she and two other actresses founded Latinas in Media Atlanta. LIMA would then go on to showcase original one-act plays directed and performed by Georgia talent to the community and industry professionals alike.

Today, Denise continues to advocate for inclusion and representation of Latinx talent in the media, she studies and trains with many highly esteemed acting coaches including Robert Mello and Michael Cole. Denise is best known for her roles on MacGyver (CBS), The Resident (Fox), and Family Blood (Netflix), a few stage performances include Carmen Rivera’s La Gringa, The Vagina Monologues, and Alan Ball’s Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, as well as over 100+ national and regional commercials.
